Skypace is the tech division of Maxton Shipping Inc., a freight forwarder headquartered in California and represented worldwide. We launched the world’s first BCO-facing shipping platform that connects our branches, vendors, and customers in the same tech environment.

The platform enables the full cycle of freight execution from instant quoting and planning to managing shipments with complete process visibility and is directly integrated with top-10 ocean carriers like MSC, Maersk, CMA CGM, COSCO, and Hapag-Lloyd, operating across all major trade lanes.

Today, we support 150+ customers across 18 countries, handling significant freight volumes with speed, transparency, and support.

We are now seeking an Account Manager - Export & Port-to-Port to manage customers primarily focused on export movements and port-to-port ocean freight. This role emphasizes origin-side coordination, documentation accuracy, and proactive customer communication before and during vessel departure.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage a portfolio of export-focused and port-to-port customers using the Skypace digital platform;
  • Coordinate ocean export shipments from booking and documentation through vessel departure;
  • Oversee origin-side processes including SI submission, VGM, cut-offs, and carrier coordination;
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers on export timelines, documentation, and execution status;
  • Work closely with internal operations, documentation, and pricing teams to ensure smooth shipment flow;
  • Monitor carrier schedules, booking confirmations, and potential rollover risks;
  • Ensure accuracy of shipping documents including B/L instructions and export paperwork;
  • Identify execution risks early and communicate proactively with customers to prevent delays.

You're a Fit If:

  • You have 4+ years of experience in international freight forwarding with a focus on export or port-to-port operations;
  • You understand export documentation, carrier cut-offs, and origin terminal processes;
  • You are comfortable managing customer relationships across multiple trade lanes;
  • You are detail-oriented and proactive in managing deadlines and shipment milestones;
  • You communicate clearly with shippers, BCOs, carriers, and internal teams.
