We are now seeking an Account Manager - Import Operations to manage and support customers focused primarily on inbound ocean freight. This role is centered on post-booking execution, arrival coordination, and customer communication throughout the import lifecycle.
What You Will Do:
- Oversee inbound ocean shipments from booking confirmation through final delivery;
- Manage a portfolio of import-focused customers using the Skypace digital platform;
- Coordinate post-arrival processes including carrier release, customs clearance, and inland delivery;
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers on import execution, timelines, and exceptions;
- Work closely with internal operations, documentation, and customer support teams to ensure smooth shipment flow;
- Monitor shipment visibility, demurrage risk, and service performance to maintain high customer satisfaction;
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce delays, and strengthen long-term customer relationships.
You're a Fit If:
- You have 4+ years of experience in international freight forwarding with a strong focus on import operations;
- You have previous experience managing customer relationships across port-to-door and port-to-port shipments;
- You understand key import-related processes such as carrier releases, customs clearance, and terminal operations;
- You are detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple shipments simultaneously;
- You communicate clearly with shippers, BCOs, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
